Founded in 2022, Spokane Stainless Technologies displays the optimism of a newly formed company, but our roots, and experience extend much deeper than a few years.
Spokane Stainless Technologies was established in January 2022, after our separation from Spokane Industries. Clearly, our experience serving our diverse customer base goes far beyond our recent founding date.
THE EARLY YEARS: Originally founded in 1952, Spokane Industries became an international company serving customers across the globe. John C. Tenold founded the company as Spokane Steel Foundry to provide quality castings to local mines, ore mills, lumber industries and the construction industry. The foundry moved to the Spokane Industrial Park in 1965 to an efficient, technologically advanced facility spanning 265,000 square feet.

In 1978, the Spokane Metal Products division was established. It served defense, agricultural applications, and the wine, beverage and water products industries with custom engineered stainless steel tanks. Over the years, we expanded our experience to more and more industries. We provided solutions to the pharmaceutical, aerospace, energy, processing and packaging industries, just to name a few.

SPOKANE STAINLESS TECHNOLOGIES IS BORN: The Spokane Stainless Technologies company was founded in early 2022 by Greg and Tyrus Tenold, who decided to sell the foundry and casting operations to focus on our core competencies, which are to offer high-quality, custom-engineered stainless steel tanks and support, on time, at competitive prices. Additionally, we wanted to preserve our family-owned legacy and culture, based on trust, integrity, and excellence. Spokane Stainless Technologies remains committed to maintaining its sterling reputation and meeting the expectations of its customers. We are dedicated to upholding our core values and being a responsible corporate citizen in the communities we serve.

The company maintains a skilled engineering staff proficient in state-of-the-art software to properly design quality and robust tanks and vessels that will provide many decades of service. Some of their engineering services include ASME Pressure Vessel Design, ASME U, U/M, and H Stamps, UL 142 Code Design, D.O.T Accreditation, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Ansys & SolidWorks, Process Engineering, Agitation and Mixer Design, Tank and Stand Design, Structural Calculations, and Plant Layout Assistance.
Several of our stainless steel fabricators have been with us since the creation of our division in 1978, with their experience and quality of work unmatched. Their proficiency is passed down to our newest team members, who leave their mark of quality workmanship on our products every day.
